AI Visibility Scan by PageCoder — does AI see you, and can it cite you?

AI Visibility Scan is a free tool by PageCoder (pagecoder.ai) that checks whether AI search engines and language models — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Gemini — can read, understand and cite your website. It gives an honest GEO / AEO diagnosis and a concrete list of fixes. Enter a public URL to run a scan.

What it measures

• Readiness (0–100) — how easily an AI can read, understand and quote your page: headings, structured data, quotable passages, and whether AI crawlers are allowed in at all. On-page only; a high score means nothing is stopping AI, not that AI names you.
• Visibility — real questions are put to a live AI with web search, and every answer is classified: named (your brand is in the answer), used your page but didn’t name you (your page is among the sources, your name is not in the text), or not named.
• Footprint — whether the model can describe your brand from training memory alone, with no page in front of it.
• Share of voice — how often you are named against the most-named competitor across the same questions.

Why “used your page but didn’t name you” matters

It separates two opposite losses. If AI cited your page and still answered without you, the fix is on that page — put the brand in the sentence that answers the question, and add Organization schema. If AI never reached you at all, the fix is off-site: presence, coverage and being cited elsewhere, which takes weeks rather than days.

What we are honest about

AI answers are sampled and non-deterministic: the same question can answer differently twice, so a result that does not hold a majority of samples is marked unstable rather than reported as fact. Perfect on-page optimisation does not guarantee citation — on-page work makes you eligible, off-site presence decides it. We scan only the public URL you enter, use no tracking cookies, and never inflate a problem to sell a fix.
